Frequently Asked Questions

Is GIF Maker free to use?

Yes, completely free! No credits, no signup, and no usage limits. All processing runs in your browser — your images never leave your device.

How many frames can I use?

You can add up to 50 images as animation frames. The tool processes each frame in your browser using color quantization to produce a standard GIF file.

Can I control the animation speed?

Yes! Use the frame delay slider to set the time between frames, from 50ms (fast, ~20 FPS) to 2000ms (slow, 0.5 FPS). The estimated FPS is shown in real time.

Can I reorder the frames?

Yes! After uploading, drag and drop frames to rearrange their order, or click the X button to remove individual frames.

What output size options are available?

You can set the output size from 120px to 800px. All frames are automatically cropped to fit a square canvas using center-crop.

Can I disable looping?

Yes. Uncheck the "Loop" checkbox to create a GIF that plays once and stops on the last frame.
