Set the background to Auto, Opaque or Transparent. Transparent output is a PNG or WebP with an alpha channel, ready for stickers, icons and assets you layer into other designs.

Try: Use the white ceramic mug in the reference as the subject. Preserve its outline and handle shape. Place it on a pale wooden table with natural window light from the left, an off-white background and a centered composition. Add no text.

Try: Create a landscape cover for an article about city cycling. Show a morning street with a bicycle on the right, warm sunlight and a simple illustration style. Leave space on the left for a headline. Do not generate text.

Try: Keep the person's pose and clothing from the reference. Replace the background with a light gray studio backdrop and use soft, even lighting. Add no props. After generating, check the elements you asked to preserve.

GPT Image 2.5 questions

You can use GPT Image 2.5 on Image2 to create images from text or edit with references, choosing the model, quality, aspect ratio, resolution, output format and background. It works well for product images, social posts, posters, covers and transparent design assets.
This page defaults to Flare. You can switch to Sunburst or GPT Image 2 in the generator. To compare the two 2.5 variants, keep your prompt, references, quality tier and output settings the same and judge the results for your task. A fixed speed or quality difference is not guaranteed.
Standard is the fastest and cheapest, good for drafts and quick tries. Enhanced adds crisper detail and texture. Fine adds much richer detail for finished and product images. Ultra and Extreme give the finest textures and edges and take longer, especially at 4K. Tiers above Standard unlock once your account has bought credits.
Text-to-image is priced by quality and resolution: Standard costs 2/4/6 credits at 1K/2K/4K, Enhanced 3/6/8, Fine 10/18/30, Ultra 16/32/52 and Extreme 35/70/115. Image-to-image starts at the selected tier's cost and settles based on the actual generation cost. The generator shows the credits before you submit.

The generator offers 13 aspect ratios. Start at 1K to explore a composition, then choose 2K or 4K when you need a larger image. Pixel dimensions vary by ratio: 4K is 3840×2160 at 16:9 and 2880×2880 at 1:1, for example. The generator shows the exact size for your selection.
Yes. Set Background to Transparent to get an image with an alpha channel. JPEG cannot store transparency, so transparent backgrounds are available with PNG and WebP only.
